ICRE 2025: International Conference on Regenerative Ecosystems 2025

December 2, 2025 - December 6, 2025 Bhubaneswar, India
Event Overview:

Uncertainties, vulnerabilities, and inequalities have grown across all sectors and geographies. The design processes in most ecosystems, whether natural, indigenous, rural, urban, or industrial, tend to degenerate despite the best human efforts. Despite convincing scientific evidence of the rising risks of ecological imbalances with visible and potential threats in the Anthropocene, the policy & strategy (in government and corporations), practices (in public and private spaces), research (social, natural, & physical sciences) are not adequately responding to these emerging polycrisis. The existing literature on practices, policies & theories to halt or reverse these degenerative processes may broadly be seen from the three dominant frameworks: Circular Economy, Social & Solidarity Economy, and Ecological Economics. While the first is focused on Economics, the second is focused on Social, and the third is focused on Ecology.

Submissions will centre on the following themes, while also considering additional relevant topics: ecological (biological, agricultural & physical) sciences, social (relationality & educational) sciences, political (governance & institutional) sciences, economic (industrial and organizational & management) sciences.
