IMPOST26: Student Symposium on Information Operations – Immersive Threats and Socio-Technical Opportunities



IMPOST (Student Symposium on Information Operations: Immersive Threats and Socio-Technical Opportunities) attracts countless students, faculty members, and interested people each semester. The program consists of diverse academic tracks from (1) Peace Informatics and Technical Peace Research, and (2) Crisis Informatics and Information Warfare. The conference is an intersection of the disciplines of (A) cyber security, (B) peace and conflict studies, and (c) human-computer interaction. It will take place in Darmstadt, Germany on February 12th, 2026 and is organized by the chair of Science and Technology for Peace and Security (PEASEC) by Prof. Dr. Dr. Christian Reuter and by Vertr.-Prof. Dr. Katrin Hartwig. It is exclusively reserved for the students of the PEASEC seminar courses at the Technical University of Darmstadt. This year’s focus is on information operations and multimodal misinformation.

The event aims to explore a range of themes, including the following: misinformation, disinformation and information operations.
