SUMMARY:HealthSec 2025: Cybersecurity in Healthcare
DESCRIPTION:In its most basic form\, healthcare is gathering data\, interpr
 eting data into information\, and transforming information into current hu
 man knowledge that can be acted upon\, with each of these stages open to u
 nintended errors and/or malicious subversion. These stages do not occur wi
 thin a vacuum but rather within our existing infrastructures and social sy
 stem with all their current limitations\, systemic bias\, and exploitable 
 vulnerabilities. While a similar characterization can be made about securi
 ty in other applied domains\, healthcare is undergoing a dramatic transfor
 mation\, arguably the next technological revolution\, presenting immediate
  opportunities for improvement along with corresponding challenges in secu
 rity.\n\nSubmissions will centre on the following themes\, while also cons
 idering additional relevant topics: ransomware attacks on hospitals\, medi
 cal device security\, healthcare supply chains and telehealth and hospital
  at home.
